The delegation of the University of Havana visits the UAB

From 7th to 9th March 2018, representatives of the delegation of the University of Havana (UH) visited the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).

The purpose of the visit was to exchange of knowledge and experiences between both institutions, in order to improve the activities that will be carried out under the framework of the Recopharma Project.

Prof. Manuel Valiente (Coordinator of the Recopharma Project) and Dr. Gustavo Pérez (Manager of the Recopharma Project) greeted the delegation of the UH, which was represented by Dr. Nancy Martínez (Director of IMRE); Ing. Alberto Agraz (Director of OTRI, U); Dr. Maday Alonso (Vice Dean of Biology); Lic. Meyly Valdés (Executive of CAF); and MsC Jairo Tiusaba (Chief Executive of innovation and entrepreneurship).

 

On the part of the UAB, in addition to those mentioned above, there were academic authorities and those responsible for the institutions, research centers and the Technology Park (PRUAB); among which we highlight Dr. Javier Lafuente (Vice-Rector of Innovation and Strategic Projects); Dr. Maria Teresa Paramio (Deputy to the Vice-Rectorate of International Relations); Dr. Carles Valero, (Director of the Research Park); Mrs. Julia Palma (Project Manager of the Research Park); and Montserrat Alegre (Technique of Institutional-International Relations).

During the visit of the delegation of the UH, meetings were held to extend and deepen the collaborations between both institutions, with the different heads of the Vice-Rectorships in the areas of international relations, strategic projects, research and transfer and postgraduate studies.

Finally, they visited both the offices of the PRUAB (Research Park of the UAB) and those of the ALBA Synchrotron, and thus, to know the scientific and technological activity of both.
