The European Parlament has adopted the key report, stressing the need for an environmentally friendly and climate-neutral pharmaceutical industry throughout the life cycle of medicinal products. The report stated that the EU Member States and the Commission encourage to support research, development and innovation in the field of pharmaceuticals that are equally effective for patients and intrinsically less harmful for the environment.
