Between March 18th and 23rd, 2018, the 8th World Water Forum, which is considered to be the largest global event related to water, will be held at the facilities of the Ulisses Guimarães Convention Center and the National Stadium of Brasilia, Brazil. Organized by the World Water Council (WWC) every three years, its main objective is “to promote awareness, build political commitment and activate action on critical water issues at all levels, to facilitate conservation, protection, development, planning, management and efficient use of water in all its dimensions on a sustainable environmental basis for the benefit of all life on Earth.”
The previous World Water Forum was held in the French city of Marseille in 2012, and was attended by approximately 35 thousand people from more than 140 countries.
