RECOPHARMA: Engaging Civil Society for Sustainable Water Management

Citizen engagement is crucial for ensuring sustainable water resource management, and RECOPHARMA has developed a successful model for such engagement. Through our project, we have demonstrated the importance of involving civil society in decision-making processes and in monitoring and assessing water resources.

One key aspect of our model has been establishing local stakeholder groups, which bring together representatives from diverse sectors and backgrounds to identify challenges and opportunities related to water management collaboratively. These groups have played a vital role in developing action plans for water resource management and implementing these plans.

In addition, RECOPHARMA has used various tools and approaches to promote citizen engagement, such as social media campaigns, public consultations, and educational initiatives. These efforts have helped to raise awareness about the importance of water resource management and to empower citizens to take an active role in protecting this vital resource.

Overall, RECOPHARMA’s model for citizen engagement has demonstrated the importance of involving civil society in sustainable water resource management and can serve as a valuable example for other organizations and initiatives seeking to promote stakeholder engagement and collaboration in this critical area.
