The H2020 Recopharma project presented its latest results on sustainable management for water security and sanitation practices on March 16th, 2022, during an online webinar organized by Amity University to celebrate UN World Water Day 2023. Amity Institute of Environmental Sciences, Amity School of Natural Resources Sustainable Development and Amity Institute of Environmental Toxicology Safety and Management, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, have taken this opportunity to continue their initiatives that contribute to the nation’s capacity building.
To further promote the importance of sustainable water management and sanitation practices, Amity University is organizing a Five Days Activity Based Value Added Programme. The primary objective of this programme is to provide a platform for academicians, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and research scholars to share and discuss ideas and practices across a range of empirical, theoretical, practical, technical, and applied approaches to deal with water conservation, sanitation hygiene, and related issues.
The programme aims to promote mass awareness and capacity building for the nation and to develop an eco-youth brigade to create public awareness through various competitions like paintings, water ghat cleaning drives, model-making projects, awareness campaigns on sanitation practices by NGOs, etc. By creating opportunities for the youth to learn and engage in sustainable practices, Amity University is taking a step forward in creating a more sustainable future for all.
The programme also addresses the urgent need for sustainable management practices for water and sanitation. The growing demand for water resources and the need to address water scarcity and pollution require innovative solutions and sustainable practices. The initiative taken by Amity University to promote sustainable water management and sanitation practices is a commendable effort towards a greener and healthier future.
In conclusion, the H2020 Recopharma project’s latest results on sustainable water management and sanitation practices are critical in addressing the global water crisis. Amity University’s efforts to promote sustainable practices and capacity building through the Five Days Activity Based Value Added Programme are commendable. These initiatives create awareness and foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment and the community. By taking proactive steps towards sustainable development, we can ensure a better future for future generations.
